Wine on the Holy Road – El Camino de Santiago
December 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm$60
It’d be an understatement to say the Church played a major role in the history of wine. From Rome to the Iberian Peninsula, religious orders have impacted winemaking, farming and trade for centuries. This is one part of a series of classes which investigates how exactly religion and the church played a role in wine as we know it.
Here, we’ll discuss the church’s impact on the wine regions along the Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James) and taste wines along this incredibly important route. Expect some fantastic wine for this class. This is open to every level of knowledge but truly geared toward big picture thinkers rather than those who want to examine all the sensory minutia in their glass.
