Halloween Special Class – Phylloxera

In this tasting, we’ll cover one of the most scariest, most horrific, most terrifying blights to ravage the history alcoholic beverages, Phylloxera!

In the late 1800’s, a little aphid, often referred to as “The Great Devastator,” landed in Southern France and forever changed the world’s winescape. It’s a crazy story with so many plot changes with wild, wide-reaching ramifications that make this one of our favorite classes to host. It’s good fun for history buffs and wine connoisseurs alike. In an interesting twist to the typical wine format, we’ll only be featuring red wines for this event.
