From Switzerland in the North to the island of Sicily in the Mediterranean, Italy produces a head spinningly vast array of wines. A dedication to its viticultural tradition seems to permeate every pour of Italian grapes. However, Italy isn’t the easiest country to approach from an learning standpoint; with over 500 officially identified native varietals planted through its diverse geography and history, it might seem to be a herculean task to introduce the wines of this country in just one class. But it isn’t, and we will, in 7 glasses.

The World Of Wine Series introduces 100 wines from 100 of the world’s most famous appellations. As with all of our events, we use wine as a way to connect dots. We draw lines between flavors, farming, culture, history, geology and beyond. It’s a way to sip wine and engage the world in ways that that can be sometimes hilarious, at times deadly serious, but most importantly, always intoxicatingly interesting.
